West Wirral Musical Society
West Wirral Musical Society is a registered charity. It’s objectives are to educate the public in the Arts and Sciences and in particular the Art and Science of Music and Theatre by presenting productions which are faithful to the traditions of Gilbert and Sullivan, productions by composers of light opera and other musical works.
We rehearse at St Luke’s Methodist Church on most Wednesdays of the year at 7.30pm. Principal rehearsals where required are on Mondays at 7.30pm.
Gilbert and Sullivan
We perform one main show per year around the middle of October. This is performed at Westbourne Hall, West Kirby from Wednesday to Saturday. Rehearsals during show week are at Westbourne Hall from Sunday to Tuesday.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays (Chorus and Principals) and Mondays (Principals) as required.
Concerts and Pantomimes
We perform a number of Concerts during the year either at St Luke’s Methodist Church or at other venues on the Wirral to raise funds for both Charity and the Society.
We perform a Pantomime from time to time, usually towards the end of the pantomime season. This is performed at our rehearsal venue and rehearsals for this are as the main show, on Wednesdays and Mondays.
